Basics Conventions of Burraco

Players: 2 or 4

Number of cards: 108 (2 decks with 2 jokers each)

Distribution: Each player receives 11 cards, and there are two stockpiles with eleven cards each.

Objective: The team with the most points wins.

Making a meld: A meld is formed by grouping 3 or more cards of the same suit in numerical sequence. The sequence can go from 2 to King (K). You can place an Ace (A) before the 2 or after the King. During gameplay, you can add more cards to existing melds.

Buying the discard pile: To acquire the discard pile, simply click on the cards that are in the discard pile.

Stockpile: It consists of a deck of 11 cards that a player receives when their hand is empty. If playing with 4 players, each team has a stockpile. Only the first player of a team who exhausts their hand can pick up the stockpile. It's not possible for the same team or player to pick up two stockpiles. If the main deck of cards gets depleted and there are stockpiles on the table, they will automatically be used as the main deck.

Going out: Going out means that a player or a team has exhausted their cards, and if a player has already picked up the stockpile. If the stockpile has not been picked up, the only way to go out is when both stockpiles become depleted and the player's hand is empty.

Going out directly: This happens when a player exhausts their cards without discarding any. In other words, all the cards are added to their melds. If there is a stockpile, the player can pick it up and continue playing without buying any more cards.

Going out indirectly: Occurs when a player discards their remaining cards without going out directly. If there is a stockpile, it can be picked up by the player, but they can only resume playing in the next round when it's their turn again.

Canasta: A meld consisting of seven or more cards of the same value or in sequence within the same suit. There are four types of Canastas.
